Responsibilities:
- Successfully meet and exceed established sales budgets with accountability for territory results.
- Drive utilization of approved products with Heart Failure (HF) specialists and other healthcare professionals within assigned accounts.
- Apply knowledge of heart failure and the marketplace to manage business opportunities and challenges.
- Provide field-based input to the Regional Sales Director and commercial/medical colleagues for strategic/tactical planning.
- Prepare, maintain, present, and implement strategic customer and institutional-specific territory plans.
- Execute marketing/sales initiatives to achieve business objectives for assigned accounts.
- Operate within defined territory expense budgets and manage resources to achieve objectives.
- Conduct speakers programs in territory (except where prohibited).
- Lead delivery of customer experience, satisfaction, and retention.
- Establish deep understanding of account needs, stakeholders, and competitive situation.
- Utilize sales reports to identify territory potential and key HF stakeholders.
- Complete administrative responsibilities (healthcare compliance, expense reports, call reporting in Veeva CRM, and other assignments).
- Provide input to functions supporting ongoing sales market development.
- Measure progress toward objectives and deliver business results.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree from an accredited 4-year college/university.
- 5+ years of healthcare sales experience (pharma specialty, hospital, medical device/diagnostic, or related experience); cardiovascular experience preferred.
- 1 year institutional sales preferred; IDN experience a plus.
- Top 30% achievement ranking in 2 of last 5 years.
- Product launch experience; Medicare population experience a plus.
- Strong written/verbal communication; polished meeting presenter.
- Ability to work a large geography; overnight travel as needed.
- Experience with HUB/specialty pharmacies.
- Medicare coverage determination facilitation OR extensive prior authorization experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Satisfactory driving record per company policy.
