Blood & Marrow Transplant Clinical Account Manager (Midwest Region)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the business within an assigned geographic territory.
- Educate HSCT centers and affiliated healthcare professionals on signs/symptoms of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) related to HSCT patients.
- Support/execute pre-launch strategies for an FDA-reviewed product for HSCT-TMA.
- Pending FDA approval, educate targeted hospitals on a monoclonal antibody treating HSCT-TMA, focusing on HSCT physicians, hematologists, nephrologists, nurses, and pharmacists.
- Support reimbursement and access; call on pharmacy directors, social workers, and others to ensure access/distribution.
- Execute national sales/marketing strategy and develop a territory business plan.
- Partner with home office, brand team, and national/corporate account teams for product โpull-through.โ
- Analyze account/physician sales data; create territory tactical plans and solutions to grow the business.
- Use Microsoft applications and Veeva CRM to track call activity and sales progress.
- Maintain company and industry compliance rules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree required (life sciences/healthcare preferred); MBA/advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years pharmaceutical sales experience; 5+ years rare/orphan disease territory management; hematology/HSCT experience preferred.
- Launch experience required.
- Specialty experience required; oncology/hematology preferred.
- Experience with major Blood & Marrow Transplant Centers and key opinion leaders.
Skills/Knowledge:
- In-depth medical industry knowledge (pharma/hospital/specialty pharmacy/biologics/biotech).
- Familiarity adding products to hospital formularies.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Above-average technology proficiency (Microsoft Office, Veeva CRM).
- Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships; integrity.
Benefits/Compensation:
- $215,000โ$240,000 wage scale; medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k) match, 3 weeks vacation, 80 hours sick time annually, 12 paid holidays; eligible for incentive and stock options.
Additional requirements:
- Remote within assigned region; drive/fly to meetings; overnight/weekend travel required; valid driverโs license and acceptable driving record; must reside in assigned territory.
