Position Summary
Bio-Techne is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Biologics Sales Specialist responsible for sales of bioprocessing instrument platforms (iCE, Maurice, MFI), related systems, and consumables in the assigned territory. Develop and execute strategic plans for the Biologics portfolio to increase sales and grow market share. Field-based role; ideal candidate located in or near San Diego, California.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets using consultative, value-based selling
- Spend ~75% of time in the field engaging with customers
- Develop and implement strategic territory plans
- Manage and grow existing accounts; prospect for new opportunities in biopharma/pharmaceutical sectors
- Provide product demonstrations and technical presentations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver a superior customer experience
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and forecasts using Salesforce.com
- Represent company values and solutions at trade shows and customer sites
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree (or advanced) in a scientific discipline/related field (required)
- 5+ years technical sales experience in life science tools research market
- Prior experience selling high-value capital equipment (required)
- Experience with MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce (required)
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory workflows, applications, and instrumentation
- Value-based selling, prospecting, relationship-building, tailored presentations
- Negotiation and closing skills; customer-centric solutions
- Ability to map key accounts and execute territory plans
- Excellent communication and time/territory management; self-starter and team-oriented
