Responsibilities:
- Assure operational and maintenance procedures/practices reflect safety concerns.
- Perform activities in accordance with cGMPs and applicable procedures.
- Provide first-line support to production processes and support area engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation.
- Develop expertise in production processes, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements, and equipment-specific code/control system technologies.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a qualified state and can be operated safely.
- Improve quality using equipment performance data; assure maintenance is performed appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with all levels to plan/coordinate projects and repairs with minimal disruption.
- Participate in and sometimes lead development of equipment design, procedures, engineering studies, and maintenance practices with the process team.
- Seek opportunities to improve equipment operational effectiveness and reliability.
- Provide technical support to engineering, including:
- Investigating/resolving issues causing production delays
- Transferring knowledge of equipment capabilities and operational techniques to operators/engineering/maintenance
- Implementing tools to help operations and engineering learn/work more proficiently
- Creating maintenance action plans for maintenance and troubleshooting
- Participating in periodic reviews of equipment state
- Planning and executing small projects for process/equipment improvements or changes
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years of automation experience
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (no anticipated sponsorship for visa status such as H-1B or TN)
- Must satisfy background check and drug screening requirements
Additional Preferences:
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in a participative environment
- GMP manufacturing environment experience
- Instrumentation, PLC and/or HMI programming experience
- Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View SE programming experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to type and write technical documents
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service attitude
- Accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals; maintains a safe work environment
- Previous experience with highly automated equipment
- B&R platform experience (plus)
- Knowledge of parenteral/packaging equipment and manufacturing operations
- Experience with Maximo or similar computerized maintenance management system
