Key Responsibilities:
- Lead onboarding of new employees within the Manufacturing department, including training on industry terminology, gowning, material transfer, room cleaning, benchtop instrument use, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Introduce new employees to Gilead’s culture, core values, and the critical importance of aseptic processing.
- Support dissemination of a comprehensive GxP training program to ensure product quality and compliance with cGMPs.
- Participate in production processes, including equipment setup and cleaning activities.
- Organize and deliver training via classroom instruction, one-on-one coaching, on-the-floor process-specific activities, and web-based training formats.
- Assist in development and maintenance of training materials, curricula, procedures, and documentation aligned with applicable regulations.
- Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including training items, offerings, curricula, and assessments related to Manufacturing processes.
- Ensure training content meets defined objectives and is appropriate for Manufacturing team needs.
- Develop On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs and manage Training Effectiveness initiatives.
- Operate effectively within demanding production schedules and strict quality and compliance standards.
- Support continuous improvement and process reliability through participation in process improvement teams.
- Maintain and expand knowledge of scientific principles to design and deliver high-quality training for Manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate planning, organization, and execution of projects aligned with defined objectives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Support additional tasks and projects assigned by management, including production support activities.
- Maintain awareness of compliance requirements and escalate compliance questions/issues to management.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- Prior experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
- Understanding of training principles and instructional design
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience administering electronic Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Functional/process knowledge to support integrated training program design and development
- Experience coordinating and managing On-the-Floor training
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, aseptic processing, and product transfer

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- Ability to lead cross-functional project teams focused on training initiatives
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
- Understanding of batch records (paper-based and electronic)
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $69,445.00 - $89,870.00
- May be eligible for discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits package (company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance).
