Role Description
The Associate, Master Data Steward provides and maintains the fundamental master data set residing in SAP and Manufacturing systems in the Lilly Medicine Foundry facility (Material Master, Bill of Materials, Recipes, Resources, Purchasing-Info Records, and Warehousing data). Maintains data quality and integrity by documenting, inputting, and verifying data into SAP and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Manages data documentation, additions, and changes; supports planning, materials management, and warehouse management; and ensures data accuracy through inspection readiness, audits, and master data changes. Works with multiple site teams to manage data change requests, solve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement. Requires knowledge of drug product manufacturing processes in development, accurate data management, detail orientation, and familiarity with SAP.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain master data key/data design for Supply Chain and Materials Management in SAP S/4 (e.g., Bills of Material, Receipts, purchasing info records, Purchasing and Planning/Scheduling parameters; planning, materials management, warehouse operations; potentially quality/supplier master and associated systems).
- Support creation of warehousing operations master data, configurations, and transactions.
- Create Bills of Material, Receipts, purchasing info records, and Purchasing/Planning/Scheduling parameters.
- Develop/maintain local SOPs and training materials for Supply Chain planning and Materials Management master data.
- Determine impact of local/global changes; ensure global data consistency and conformance to SOPs (SAP master data maintenance, interfaced system changes like MES, and process changes from Technical Services/Manufacturing Sciences/Engineering).
- Participate in or lead process improvement initiatives.
- Use appropriate tools/reports to track maintenance efforts and data accuracy/completeness.
- Participate in annual standard costing and drive review of planning parameters.
- Troubleshoot SAP execution problems (identify root cause and implement solutions).
- Investigate deviations and provide impact assessments for change management.
- Serve as a key member of the SAP Implementation Project Team during construction/startup.
- Act as temporary Security Steward in SAP to ensure correct security access profiles; coordinate with the Global Security Network.
- Contribute to global Master Data Management initiatives; attend Power User forums.
- Generate OSSCE metrics and Pareto analyses.
- Maintain a safe work environment and support Health, Safety & Environment goals.
- Partner with Tech@Lilly (e.g., Global Services, Global Infrastructure) to deliver SAP functionality and infrastructure.
- Provide training/education on Master Data to application users and data owners.

Basic Requirements
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 yearsโ€™ experience in manufacturing (preferred pharmaceutical or other regulated industries).
- SAP knowledge/familiarity, including supply chain management functions (warehouse management, materials management, production planning for process industry) and material master creation/maintenance.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor work authorization or visas.

Additional Preferences
- Familiarity with MES and integration with SAP.
- Knowledge of GMP/GDP (e.g., FDA, ICH, GAMP5).
- Experience supporting internal quality audits and/or regulatory inspections.
- Experience supporting computer system validation/testing (requirements definition, business scenario testing documentation, acceptance testing).
