Associate Scientist, Data II

Associate Data Scientist contributing to the architecture, design, and development of AbbVie’s Data & Analytics Platform.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine tasks competently and independently; produce reliable, consistent results.
- Learn and understand data engineering activities: data warehousing, master data management, data cataloging, system integration, data streaming, data visualization, data analysis, and data ops.
- Learn and understand pharmaceutical R&D/Life Science datasets.
- Learn and contribute to architecture, design, development, and maintenance of large-scale data & analytics platforms, including system integrations, data pipelines, data models, and API integrations.
- Adhere to corporate standards and policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (typically 2+ years’ experience) or Master’s degree (no additional experience).
- Experience with the software development life cycle.
- Data analysis programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python & Apache Spark, SAS, R).

Preferred:
- Experience with Pharmaceutical R&D industry-centric datasets.
- Knowledge and practical experience with knowledge graphs, Elasticsearch, data streaming, and LLM models.
