Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments in scale-down models (e.g., shake flasks, bioreactors) to develop robust, high-yield, scalable manufacturing processes.
- Serve as upstream tech lead; ensure accurate technology transfer to pilot and GMP manufacturing; provide technical support during manufacturing campaigns.
- Document data accurately in electronic lab notebooks; author technical reports; contribute to regulatory submissions (e.g., IND, BLA).
- Participate in lab/project meetings on study design (DoE) and data interpretation.
- Maintain a safe, efficient lab environment; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Occasionally work over the weekend for essential tasks.

Qualifications (Must-Have):
- Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years’ industrial experience in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related field.
- Significant experience with bioreactor systems and analytical equipment.
- Strong mammalian cell culture expertise.
- Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented; excellent oral/written communication.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Nice-To-Have:
- Experience with high-throughput systems (ambr15/ambr250, Tecan).
- In vitro transcription (mRNA synthesis) or molecular biology experience.
- Process analytical technologies (e.g., Raman, biocapacitance); multivariate data analysis.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Annual base salary: $60,200–$100,400; Global Performance Plan bonus target: 7.5%.
