Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage incentive compensation plan implementation/design; track field performance to goals; communicate across sales leaders.
- Partner with sales leadership on business plans and objectives/content.
- Collaborate with Regional Business Directors (RBDs) to identify business questions (market trends, sales performance, call planning, metrics/KPIs) and deliver actionable sales-force insights.
- Lead territory workload optimization, targeting, sizing, and alignment; coordinate stakeholders to drive business results.
- Partner with Business Insights and Forecasting leadership to ensure business/operational consistency; represent sales force interests in key meetings and identify follow-up actions.
- Build relationships across Sales, Marketing, Strategic Operations, Business Intelligence/Analytics, and Data Operations; collaborate for effectiveness.
- Lead development of commercial sales strategies (SFE needs, customer segmentation/alignment, call-plan achievement, reach & frequency, business insights).
- Implement new technology (e.g., AI) to improve sales force effectiveness.
- Manage external vendor on sales force effectiveness (SFE) initiatives/projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorโs + 12+ years industry experience (or Masterโs + 10+ years) with management consulting and/or pharma analytics, sales operations and/or marketing.
- Working knowledge of relational data; ability to translate technical needs between stakeholders/developers.
- Strong analytical/strategic skills; ability to learn new disease states; analyze/interpret data for targeted presentations.
- Ability to generate complex reports independently; partner with internal stakeholders.
- Adaptability; proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills (incl. senior executives).
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com/Veeva/Tableau.
- Emotional intelligence, diplomacy, confidentiality, maturity; resolve conflict diplomatically.
- Self-starter; experience with matrix-based teams and project management.
- Strong relationship building with cross-functional partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years deep experience in rare/orphan disease.
- 3+ years people management experience.
