The Position
- Assist with design and implementation of manufacturing processes, instrumentation, and equipment start-ups from the laboratory through manufacturing scale.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate fabrication, procurement, installation, engineering start-up, and validation of new equipment/systems, including documentation of IQ/OQ protocols, test executions, and summary reports.
- Develop and implement procedural or automation improvement changes.
- Participate in design and hazard reviews of plant expansions or process changes.
- Support process improvement activities, including authoring equipment specifications, user/functional requirements specifications, and FAT/SAT protocols.
- Perform duties in a compliant, ethical manner in accordance with applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes.
- Incorporate the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions.
Physical Requirements
- 0–10% overnight travel.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, and walk; push/pull/lift; and speak, listen, and understand verbal/written communication.
- Visual acuity for reading/writing/analyzing and visual inspection.
- Lifting up to 33 lbs (occasionally), up to 30 lbs (frequently), and up to 10 lbs (constantly).
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering/related field or equivalent (experience + education).
- 0–2+ years of work-related engineering experience in Design, Maintenance, Process Improvement.
- Knowledge of Instrument & Electrical, Mechanical, Control/SCADA/PLCs; Process Improvement Methodologies; Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Proven expertise planning/organizing/executing engineering activities, following up on results, and revising work plans for complex issues with cross-functional teams.
