Key Responsibilities:
- Visually inspect the product during operation; observe equipment and process for proper operation; seek maintenance assistance for problems and recommend improvements.
- Assist with the set up and running of production equipment.
- Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection as required; keep work area clean and orderly.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
- Document material runs via Batch Production records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
- Assist in training new personnel in the manufacturing operation under the guidance of the supervisor.
- Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc. as instructed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS diploma.
- Up to two years of experience preferred (combination of experiences and/or education considered).
- Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills; computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and Lotus Notes.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stoop, climb ladders/stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to wear a respirator; hear an alarm; identify small defects; distinguish between colors.
