Associate National Account Director

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a central lead educating stakeholders on PrEP and strategies to improve patient access to Gilead’s long-acting injectable products.
- Quarterback a matrix team (field reimbursement managers, medical liaisons, nurse educators, national account directors, sales, market access marketing).
- Gain inclusion on formularies, placement on Electronic Medical Records systems, and product pathways through management of assigned accounts.
- Build and cultivate relationships across Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), targeted healthcare systems/hospitals, and FQHC/community clinics.
- Set overall account strategy and contract pull-throughs where appropriate; generate increased demand and access by targeting appropriate influencers/decision-makers.
- Align cross-functionally (Medical, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to support a combined customer engagement strategy and product access/coverage.
- Execute defined call plans with decision-makers/prescribers (C-suite, Pathway, P&T committee members) and work closely with Field Reimbursement.
- Build and manage account profiles (protocol development procedures, pull-through targets, current pathway/protocol placement, key influencers).
- Act as cross-functional lead maintaining the strategic account plan and ensuring compliant execution.
- Use in-person tactics (account visits, manage contract strategy where appropriate, provide clinical/efficacy/safety information).
- Lead strategic launch planning and coordinate across functions (Sales, Market Access, Trade Relations, Value Access, Contracting, Medical, HEOR, Marketing).
- Satisfy onsite visitation/hospital credentialing requirements, if applicable.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ experience; or Master’s with 8 years; or PhD with 2 years.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Account management/managed markets; HIV or PrEP experience; cultural humility.
- Contracting experience; institution new product launch experience.
- 2 years direct experience in corporate/region/national/key account role; direct Access/Payer/health system experience.
- Ability to inspire/influence/lead without authority; execute physician and account management strategic plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication; negotiation; business acumen; analytical ability.
- Robust project management; multi-task/prioritize with clear deliverables; self-motivated; independent and matrix leadership.
- Travel 25–50% with overnight travel.
