Associate Medical Director/Medical Director, Endocrinology and Metabolism

The Associate Medical Director/Medical Director will act as a key participant in the medical and scientific oversight of clinical studies in endocrinology and metabolism.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, development and execution of clinical studies across the development life cycle (Phase 1-3)
- Write and review clinical protocols, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, and other documents
- Provide medical oversight and safety monitoring for clinical trials (review AEs/SAEs; participate in the safety committee)
- Analyze, interpret, and present clinical data
- Collaborate with development functions (clinical operations, safety, biometrics, regulatory, medical writing) to achieve project objectives
- Build relationships with external experts (principal investigators and opinion leaders) to support scientific excellence
- Serve as liaison to the commercial team on medical and scientific issues
- Participate in regulatory discussions/activities, including filing INDs, CTXs, and NDA/MAAs
- Provide ongoing disease area and scientific training to the clinical team
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to drive timelines while maintaining quality and GCP compliance

Preferred Education/Experience:
- MD or equivalent; board eligible or certified in internal medicine or internal medicine subspecialty preferred
- 2+ years clinical development experience in biotech/pharma or an academic clinical trial unit
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals preferred
