The Position (Field Medical Affairs – Managed Markets)
- Direct clinical engagement and develop/implement medical account strategies for strategic/priority Managed Markets accounts.
- Serve as primary Medical Affairs point of contact to key payers; provide proactive/reactive evidence-based clinical and HEOR information to executive decision makers and thought leaders.
- Maintain strong clinical relationships with C-suite, Pharmacy Directors, Medical Directors, and other clinical decision makers.

Essential Functions
- Provide monthly reports on scientific leadership activities and budget expenditures; record activities in CRM and expenses in Concur.
- Act as a scientific resource to HCPs; attend/present at medical/scientific meetings.
- Develop and execute medical account strategy/plans; gather customer insight; provide product/scientific updates and formulary presentations.
- Plan and deliver educational programs/symposia; educate account executives.
- Lead clinical engagement and coordinate medical support needs; support pharmacoeconomic/managed care-initiated studies and potential grant routing.
- Provide advanced scientific leadership for marketed/development projects (focusing on diabetes).
- Design and deliver advanced scientific and formulary presentations.

Qualifications
Required:
- 4+ years in health system/pharma/managed care (3+ years in field medical liaison or managed care); PharmD or Doctoral degree (MD/PhD) with advanced licensure (e.g., NP, RPh).
- Knowledge of clinical development/operations and FDA requirements; health economics knowledge; value-based discussions.
- Understanding of formulary process across payer channels.
- Cross-functional collaboration; advanced US healthcare/payer/reimbursement/integrated health systems understanding.
- Demonstrated customer engagement, leadership, influencing, project management, relationships, analytical/problem solving, and written/verbal communication.

Preferred:
- Experience in account/project management; flexible disease-area technical expertise; tech systems; Excel/Word/PowerPoint; managed care setting; health economics/outcomes research.

Physical
- 50–75% overnight travel; field-based in IL, IA, or MO near a major airport; valid driver’s license; meet points threshold.

Compensation/Benefits
- Base salary: $190,000–$245,000; eligible for company bonus; long-term incentives and/or vehicles.
