Associate Director, Utility Operations (Plant Utilities)

Responsibilities:
- Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture; maintain a safe working environment protecting safety, environment, and quality.
- Ensure utility operations maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements at all times.
- Ensure utility areas appropriately support the execution of the site production plan.
- Ensure consistency of operations across shifts through active engagement on the floor.
- Support and provide leadership through site inspections.
- Own implementation of the change and improvement agenda for the assigned area with cross-functional support and integration.
- Set objectives for the team; own and review the area scorecard with management.
- Set objectives and development plans for Operations staff (including Operations Leaders and Operators).
- Manage events as required; ensure appropriate communication internally and with external teams; provide input and approve investigations.
- Build and develop the team, creating clear common purpose and promoting team spirit.
- Ensure team members are appropriately trained; operating procedures and training materials are available and current.
- Communicate appropriately with team members regarding site objectives and team business.
- Ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet business objectives.

Startup Phase (Houston API site):
- Build the organization with capability, capacity, and culture for operational excellence.
- Develop and implement site systems and processes, leveraging existing Lilly practices and incorporating external learning.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence by supporting lean principles in respective areas.
- Support the project team delivering the facility by providing feedback and support.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or science (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 3+ yearsโ€™ experience in process or plant engineering, or technical services/manufacturing science (preferably in API manufacturing).
- Leadership experience preferred.

Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $123,000 - $180,400.
- Eligible for a company bonus (depending on company and individual performance).
