Responsibilities:
- Lead detailed analyses of U.S. healthcare policy reforms (Medicaid, state affordability, UPLs, state drug pricing boards, and other state pricing/reimbursement/access policies).
- Develop, maintain, and apply analytical/financial models to quantify policy impacts across priority markets and the broader BMS portfolio.
- Monitor and interpret statutes, regulations, guidance, and budget actions; translate into clear analytical outputs and summaries for internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Provide analytical support on federal policy analytics initiatives to ensure continuity/alignment.
- Assess interactions between state policies and federal frameworks (e.g., Medicaid, 340B, IRA) to understand downstream reimbursement impacts.
- Produce analyses, data tables, and visualizations to support state policy positions, evidence packages, and advocacy materials.
- Prepare executive-ready slides and written materials communicating impacts, assumptions, limitations, and tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Global Health Systems Analytics, Global Pricing, Global Market Access, Legal, HEOR, Finance, BIT).
- Track emerging policy trends; identify risks/opportunities and escalate as appropriate.
- Document methodologies/assumptions; leverage digital/AI-enabled analytics.
Preferred/Required skills & experience:
- Advanced degree preferred (MPH, MPP, MBA, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent).
- 5–7+ years in U.S. health policy/policy analytics/government pricing/reimbursement analysis (state or federal focus).
- Strong state Medicaid/affordability/UPL analysis experience; familiarity with state legislative/regulatory processes (strongly preferred).
- Working knowledge of Medicaid/340B/IRA intersections; experience with financial/economic/policy modeling; strong communication for non-technical audiences.
