Primary Activities & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Build and maintain trust through effective communication, integration, and collaboration.
- Lead through challenging/ambiguous situations; prioritize tasks by urgency, impact, and resources.
- Influence others and lead without authority to drive collaborative problem-solving and consensus.
Clinical Proficiency
- Apply product portfolio knowledge to provide approved disease/product information to key account stakeholders.
- Maximize appropriate utilization of the portfolio to improve patient outcomes.
- Align responses to external quality initiatives using approved resources/messages.
- Understand treatment decision factors (pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines, quality initiatives).
Business Acumen
- Use internal data/analytics to understand account performance and identify engagement opportunities.
- Develop and pull through coordinated, longitudinal account plans based on account ecosystems, emerging markets, and trends.
- Use approved messages/resources with healthcare business partners (HBPs) across the account.
- Coordinate with local account teams to ensure contract pull-through and address local contract term requests.
Operational/Account Management
- Establish strategic account approach aligned with marketing guidance; align brand strategy/tactics to customer needs and objectives.
- Build relationships with key decision makers/influencers to understand goals/challenges; identify approved resources and entry access points.
- Use approved tools to capture/share and communicate internally about customers.
Position Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelorโs degree OR high school diploma with 4+ years relevant experience (sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific field).
- 2+ years relevant experience in healthcare/life sciences/sales/account management/managed care.
- Valid Driverโs License.
- Relationship-building with senior executives/KOLs; financial acumen; strong healthcare ecosystem knowledge.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills; leadership in cross-functional/matrix organizations.
- Travel ~50%.
Preferred
- Advanced degree; local market relationships/customer knowledge.
- Experience in account management for large oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks focused on oncology/hematology.
