Primary Activities & Responsibilities
- Leadership: Build trust; lead through ambiguity by prioritizing by urgency/impact; influence without authority and drive consensus.
- Clinical proficiency: Provide approved disease/product information; maximize appropriate portfolio utilization to improve patient outcomes; tailor responses to customer needs using approved resources/messages; understand treatment decision factors (pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines/quality initiatives).
- Business acumen: Use internal data/analytics to identify account opportunities; develop longitudinal account plans; apply B2B buying dynamics and use approved messages with healthcare business partners; coordinate local teams for contract pull-through.
- Operational/account management: Align account strategy with marketing guidance; develop relationships with decision makers/influencers; use approved tools to capture/share customer information.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree OR high school diploma + 4+ years relevant experience (professional sales/marketing/military/healthcare-scientific).
- 2+ years relevant experience in healthcare/life sciences sales/account management/managed care.
- Valid driverβs license; ability to build senior executive/KOL relationships; financial acumen; strong healthcare ecosystem knowledge; strong interpersonal/communication and cross-functional matrix leadership; travel ~50%.
Preferred
- Advanced degree; local market relationships; experience in large oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks focused on oncology/hematology.
