PRIMARY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Build and maintain trust through effective communication, integration, and collaboration.
- Lead through challenging/ambiguous situations; prioritize to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Influence others and lead without authority; drive collaborative problem-solving.
Clinical Proficiency
- Provide approved disease/product information to key decision makers.
- Maximize appropriate utilization of the portfolio to improve patient outcomes.
- Align responses to external quality initiatives using approved resources/messages.
- Understand treatment decision factors (pathways, protocols, sites of care, guidelines/quality initiatives).
Business Acumen
- Use internal data/analytics to understand account performance and find engagement opportunities.
- Develop a coordinated, longitudinal account plan based on market trends.
- Understand B2B buying dynamics; partner with healthcare business partners using approved resources.
- Coordinate with local account teams to support contract pull-through.
Operational/Account Management
- Execute account strategy aligned with approved marketing guidance.
- Build relationships with decision makers/influencers; understand access points and stakeholders.
- Capture and communicate customer information internally using approved tools.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Required)
- Bachelorโs degree OR high school diploma + 4+ years relevant work experience (sales/marketing/military/healthcare-scientific).
- 2+ years relevant experience in healthcare/life sciences/sales/account management/managed care.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to build senior executive/KOL relationships; financial acumen; healthcare ecosystem knowledge.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills; cross-functional matrix collaboration; travel ~50%.
PREFERRED
- Advanced degree; local market relationships; prior account management in oncology/heme group practices and integrated delivery networks.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Account management, data analysis, financial acumen, contract management, influencing without authority, and leadership.
