Key Responsibilities:
- Support development and execution of integrated communications strategies informed by market dynamics, stakeholder insights, and evolving communications trends.
- Partner with cross-functional development and commercial teams to identify opportunities to advance brand and therapeutic area objectives.
- Collaborate across communications functions (media relations, digital, executive/internal, patient advocacy, issues management, analytics) to deliver coordinated campaigns.
- Lead development of brand and disease-state narratives using modern content strategies, optimized for AI-enabled and search-driven information environments.
- Protect and strengthen Novartis reputation and CVM portfolio via proactive issues identification, risk assessment, and strategic communications planning.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks measuring communications effectiveness and impact.
- Ensure compliant, flawless execution with legal/regulatory/company requirements.
- Manage communications agency partnerships and budgets.
Essential Requirements:
- Contribute to CVM communications strategies to support reputation, leadership positioning, and therapeutic area objectives.
- Deliver strong, consistent, differentiated CVM storytelling across audiences and channels.
- Align communications priorities/strategies across the therapeutic area.
- Drive audience engagement and narrative adoption, including in AI-powered and search-based environments.
- Use OGSM planning principles to drive measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Manage issues and reputation risks across CVM brands and pipeline assets.
- Obtain stakeholder feedback on collaboration, strategic partnership, and communications expertise.
- Demonstrate ownership of development objectives and continuous professional growth.
Desirable Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 7+ years communications experience with brand communications, including data and regulatory milestones.
- Agency partner and budget management; crisis/issues management.
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred.

- Salary expected range: $126,000β$234,000/year; performance-based cash incentive; annual equity eligibility by level; US comprehensive benefits; time off package.
