Associate Director, Team Lead (Metabolic Conditions – PKU Therapy Access Managers) US

Role: Lead therapy access strategy and team management for a rare disease biopharma company, overseeing account relationships, payer engagement, and patient access support across the US and Puerto Rico. Responsibilities: execute access initiatives, coach and develop direct reports, partner with cross-functional teams including Patient Support Services, Sales, and Clinical, to optimize payer and provider engagement; educate stakeholders on reimbursement processes, payer policies, and patient support programs; analyze market trends and escalate complex access issues; and lead process improvements. Requirements: 10+ years in pharmaceutical/healthcare, with 7+ years in access/reimbursement; Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred); proven leadership, coaching, and collaboration skills; extensive knowledge of payer environment, specialty distribution pathways, and compliance regulations; experience supporting HCPs and office staff with access and reimbursement, especially in rare/ specialty therapeutics.
