Position Summary
Associate Director, Strategic Engagement (Southeast Region) supporting Orencia (abatacept) and SOTYKTU (deucravacitinib). Focuses on: (1) compliant KOL engagement strategy and marketing insights events; and (2) integrated stakeholder engagement within targeted key accounts to support Orencia account management and contract pull-through.
Key Responsibilities
- Build/maintain strategic relationships with rheumatology KOLs, thought leaders, and Centers of Excellence.
- Lead congress planning/execution and coordinate thought leader/C-suite interactions.
- Manage/advice speakers bureau, training, and execution aligned to brand/portfolio.
- Support commercial advisory board development and identify KOL participation.
- Call on C-suites in supergroups/key national accounts for rebate management, quarterly business reviews, and GPO contract pull-through.
- Engage advocacy groups to understand market changes/challenges.
- Conduct thought leader engagements to uncover insights, identify trends, and gather competitive intelligence.
- Capture/communicate actionable market insights to inform commercial/medical strategy.
- Assess business opportunities by evaluating regional healthcare trends.
- Align closely with Field Sales/Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Access, Account Executives, and Policy.
Qualifications and Requirements
- BS/BA required.
- 8+ years pharmaceutical experience; thought leader liaison or regional/national account management.
- Recent rheumatology experience strongly preferred (supergroups, thought leaders, and/or Centers of Excellence).
- Prior people management preferred.
- Leadership/networking across complex internal/external environments.
- Biologics/buy-and-bill and/or specialty medications experience preferred.
- Critical thinking, strong decision-making; excellent communication/presentation skills.
- Ability to navigate complex accounts and diverse stakeholders.
- Up to 60% travel (overnights) required.
- Valid driverβs license in the 50 United States required.
