Key Objectives/Deliverables
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Serve as the primary L&D Leader at the site; align site L&D strategies with global policies and procedures while meeting local operational needs.
- Partner with Network L&D lead and global Center of Excellence (CoE) to implement learning solutions that drive performance, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Ensure site-level governance to maintain real-time inspection and audit readiness.
- Promote a modern learning culture and transition from document-based training to interactive, digital, and experiential learning.

Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, develop, and inspire the site L&D team to deliver high-quality learning initiatives supporting business objectives.
- Build capability in learning sciences, digital learning tools, and manufacturing-specific training methodologies.
- Foster continuous learning and innovation using learning technologies, AI-driven learning analytics, and immersive training; create project scope documents for outsourced learning services.

Learning Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement site-specific L&D initiatives supporting compliance, manufacturing excellence, and employee development.
- Measure learning effectiveness using real-time data and analytics to ensure measurable business impact.
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, HR, and Technical Training/SMEs; ensure audit and inspection readiness by addressing training gaps and regulatory expectations.
- Advocate for technology-enabled learning (AI, immersive simulations, digital academies, just-in-time learning).

Basic Requirements
- Bachelorโ€™s degree; 5+ years in Learning & Development, Talent Development, and/or Manufacturing Training (regulated environments).
- 5+ years with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), regulatory requirements, or compliance training.
- 2+ years managing and developing L&D teams.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Additional Preferences
- Masterโ€™s degree (Instructional Systems Technology, Performance Technology, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or related).
- Governance/audit readiness/inspection preparedness experience for training programs.
- Modern learning methodologies (e.g., competency-based training, AI-driven platforms, immersive technologies).
- Collaboration across Operations, Quality, HR, and Global L&D.
- Learning transformation experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with learning technologies/LMS, digital learning tools, and AI-driven analytics.
- CPTD/ATD or similar certification is a plus; skills-based training and workforce upskilling experience.

Travel/Location
- ~15% travel; site-based.

Compensation/Benefits (if explicitly stated)
- Anticipated wage: $127,500โ€“$187,000; bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits (including 401(k), health/dental/vision, life insurance, time off, and well-being benefits).
