Purpose:
- Identify learning needs and develop, execute, and measure strategic, tailored Medical Affairs Scientific Training plans within GMAO, including needs assessments, ongoing program development/updates, and reinforcement training (booster/focal) to enhance GMAO scientific knowledge of Takeda Oncology products, disease states, and competitor data.
- Collaborate with regions and countries to understand training needs and deliver aligned programs.
- Work with and oversee vendors to support training initiatives.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert/consultant to regions and countries within GMA.
- Liaise with GMAO team members and cross-functional stakeholders; support successful operations of the GMAO Medical Capabilities department.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct baseline and ongoing training needs assessments and develop tailored training packages/plans.
- Lead development and updates of medical affairs education/training plans and materials.
- Develop and execute GMAO onboarding training for disease and product data; ensure regional/country training and certification.
- Implement training systems/platforms; deliver innovative training across modules/slides, e-learning, webinars, live meetings, workshops, and posters.
- Build/customize/use tools and systems with Oncology Business Unit regions/countries to enable improved interactions and learning.
- Identify internal/external speakers for topic-specific expertise.
- Act as SME resource on Takeda Oncology products; ensure compliance with relevant SOPs/policies/procedures.
Required:
- Doctoral (PhD/PharmD) in a scientific discipline; 5+ years healthcare/relevant experience with 3+ years medical affairs and/or training.
- OR Masterβs in scientific discipline; 8+ years healthcare/relevant experience with 6+ years medical affairs and/or training.
- Oncology experience; cross-functional team experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Strong communication, prioritization, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Training experience.
Preferred:
- Medical Affairs or Clinical Development; adult education.
- Curriculum development; educational outcome assessment; adult learning principles.
- Pharmaceutical/biomedical writing and communications; facilitation; presentations to diverse audiences.
- Learning management systems; broad product/disease area knowledge.
- Influence/negotiation experience.
Travel:
- Up to 25% per year, including international travel.
