Overview/Summary:
- Associate Director (AD), Scientific Communications (Medical Excellence, Global Medical Affairs). Develop and implement scientific communication strategy, manage scientific communication plans for assigned products/therapeutic areas, and oversee scientific messaging for marketed and clinical products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and ensure timely execution of scientific communication plans for Fabry disease and Pompe disease.
- Develop and implement scientific messaging; maintain Scientific Communication Platforms.
- Ensure cross-functional alignment of messaging and strategies to address gaps.
- Develop product- and disease-specific literature expertise; conduct literature and gap analyses to support messaging and publication strategy.
- Organize and implement expert meetings for publication strategy development (collaborate with experts, manage vendors, attend/present as needed).
- Facilitate external/independent development of treatment and management guidelines.
- Research, draft, and edit scientific/medical manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
- Manage agency/contract medical writers and/or graphic designers as needed.
- Ensure outputs meet medical/scientific integrity standards and adhere to ICMJE and GPP 2022 authorship/publication guidelines.
- Support maintenance and reconciliation activities in the publication development database.
- Respond to internal/external questions; share planning status in cross-functional meetings.
- Support Scientific Communications budget management.

Education & Experience:
- MS or higher in life or health sciences (required).
- 7+ years relevant experience in scientific communications, publication planning, and/or medical writing (required).
- 2+ years managing direct reports (preferred).
