Role Responsibilities:
- Accountable for delivering Takeda’s “Partner for Access” across priority and select non-priority geographies; own Commercial, Medicare, State Medicaid, and Managed Medicaid books of business.
- Gain, protect, and improve profitable access to Takeda products; deliver partnerships aspiration to priority accounts; engage payers on Takeda’s portfolio (small molecule, specialty, rare/orphan).
- Serve as “Face of Managed Markets,” main internal contact for market access topics.
- Identify market access trends/opportunities/issues with local matrix colleagues; drive pull-through across the geography.
- Communicate access changes and local impact to maximize wins and mitigate losses.
How You Will Contribute:
- Secure/maintain formulary and/or written medical policy access focused on profitable access.
- Build and execute strategic account plans; optimize payer opportunities using volume/claims analytics and reimbursement data.
- Negotiate contracts and meet revenue/rebate objectives; build/present contracting business cases.
- Influence PBMs/downstream clients for favorable modeling and access.
- Develop and maintain cross-department customer relationships; understand payer/PBM economics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Market Access/Channel Strategy, Contracts & Pricing, analytics, Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, Patient Services/Field Reimbursement, State Government Affairs, Public Policy) and quarterback account interactions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Required: BS/BA; 3+ years leadership (1st/2nd line) or payer account management; experience managing multiple therapeutic areas across regional PBMs and payers.
- Preferred: specialty/rare disease market experience; in-depth understanding of commercial, Medicare, and PBM/regional decision processes.

Compensation: U.S. base salary range $184,000–$253,000.
