Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership: Serve as primary operational advisor to Primary Care Sales Leadership, aligning field tactics with commercial strategies and brand objectives.
- Targeting & Segmentation: Develop and execute HCP targeting, segmentation, and call-planning models to maximize field force impact.
- Territory & Quota Management: Oversee territory alignment and design; manage quota-setting to ensure goals are fair, challenging, and attainable.
- Incentive Compensation (IC): Partner to design, model, and administer incentive plans and contests that drive performance and reward the right behaviors.
- Performance Reporting: Build and maintain sales dashboards and KPIs for real-time field visibility, trend identification, and intervention opportunities.
- CRM & Systems Optimization: Drive adoption and optimization of CRM tools (e.g., Veeva/Salesforce) to support field activity execution and data capture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Training on annual operating plans, product launches, and field force onboarding.
- Special Projects: Support programs and pilots related to the sales force with Strategic Growth & Innovation.
- Compliance: Ensure sales operations activities and data handling meet corporate, legal, and regulatory standards.
- Manage contractors/vendors: Manage activities of contractors/external vendors (analysts, project managers, third-party consultants) for the Primary Care business unit.
Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related discipline.
- 5+ years in Sales Operations or Commercial Operations within the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry.
- Proven track record managing sales operations activities, ideally with primary care operational challenges.
Competencies & Skills
- Analytical rigor; translate large datasets into actionable insights.
- IC & forecasting expertise (incentive design, performance modeling, sales forecasting).
- Technical proficiency: Excel; working knowledge of Veeva/Salesforce and BI tools (Tableau/Power BI).
- Agility in fast-paced, high-growth environments; comfort with ambiguity (buildout and expand role).
- Exceptional verbal/written communication and executive presence.
- Leadership: successful project management and ability to lead/develop high-performing teams.
