Role Summary

The Associate Director, QA Project Management, IT Systems, and Operational Excellence leads the delivery of assigned process programs and projects, building strategy and plans related to IT systems while identifying and implementing operational excellence initiatives to support the department. The role drives end-to-end project objectives, increasing efficiency and agility, and delivering system improvements across GxPs. Dotted line reporting to the VP, with resource planning support from PMQA leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PMQA project management team (including system owners) in developing and managing project artifacts such as charters, status reports, work plans, stakeholder engagement plans, and decision-making models
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Quality policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization, delivering exceptional project management leadership to advance strategic priorities
  • Identify improvement opportunities and implement departmental initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and related methodologies
  • Strategize with project sponsors/business leads regarding project direction and decisions; provide strategic advisory to enable agile and efficient outcomes
  • Manage entire project lifecycles, including accountabilities, risk/issues, decision-making, and delivering status updates/recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to propose new projects that enhance productivity, compliance, and efficiencies; optimize project team effectiveness
  • Ensure key projects are delivered on time and meet business needs at the program level
  • Partner with business leaders to develop the overall IT systems/tools strategy
  • Dotted line reporting to VP; ensure sufficient resources for critical projects and day-to-day staffing

Qualifications

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree minimum; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of project management experience and/or business excellence methodologies in global companies, handling large cross-functional initiatives
  • Lean Six Sigma certification required; PMI PMP certification preferred
  • Proven leadership with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience leading/global multi-functional teams
  • Extensive project planning and management experience with successful business and technology initiatives
  • Experience in a global, complex, matrix environment
