Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the US Head of Lupus; highlight risks/opportunities and direct key organizational/financial/operational activities.
- Support development and execution of the overarching US medical strategy/plan for Lupus; ensure alignment to assigned targets.
- Own financial oversight of the US Lupus budget (development through execution); may extend to other US Medical areas.
- Lead project/program management and continuous improvement to reduce execution barriers across US Medical Affairs.
- Create executive-ready presentation/communication materials for internal and external audiences.
- Support annual and long-term goal tracking via regular US Lupus/US Medical reviews and Extended USMLT meetings.
- Orchestrate the Integrated Customer Planning (ICP) process within Lupus and integrate medical input with global/US ICP strategies.
- Direct operational activities with medical operations and partners, including external engagements (e.g., ad boards, medical forums) and internal activities (e.g., contracting, audit readiness, material review).
- Manage information flow and communication cascades across NAMLT/NALT and cross-functional teams.
- Drive alignment with US affiliate and global medical teams via touchpoints and workstreams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and mutual trust.
Qualifications/Required Skills:
- BA/BS required; MBA/MS/PhD/PharmD preferred.
- 7+ years in pharmaceutical industry (Medical Affairs, Pharmaceutical Operations, etc.).
- Proven business acumen with financial planning.
- Complex program management; strong organizational/timeline management; influence without authority.
- Strong communication and networking; ability to present medical/business content clearly.
- Sound medical-scientific knowledge; accountability track record; perform under pressure.
- Strong analytical/strategic/problem-solving skills; advanced computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
