Medical Science Liaison (MSL) — Remote US (West Territory: California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary field-based point of contact for healthcare providers (HCPs), including clinical investigators, on clinical and scientific issues.
- Deliver and facilitate medical education and communications, research, and scientific insight gathering.
- Maintain deep knowledge of immuno-oncology/disease areas and Immunocore products, competitor products, and other therapeutic options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities with medical and broader company strategy and ensure best patient care.
- Build and maintain synergistic KOL relationships to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships.
- Adhere to high ethical compliance, ethics and safety standards and all local regulations/laws.
- Act as educational resource internally; externally serve as credible scientific expert at HCP field meetings, conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and patient advocacy groups.
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a balanced/objective manner; proactively provide medical education as permissible.
- Lead congress symposiums and educational programs; provide tailored clinical presentations.
- Support early access programs.
- Gather and map HCP/network/referral patterns; identify and disseminate key field insights; help resolve HCP needs/issues.
- Support congress planning/implementation; support clinical operations in trial site identification.
- Facilitate investigator engagement for Immunocore trials and investigator-sponsored studies; address barriers to enrollment.
- Lead collation/review of ESR proposals and setup/maintenance of approved studies.
Experience & Knowledge / Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of MSL experience.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD).
- 3+ years oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma) required.
- Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immuno-oncology.
- Strong understanding of trial design and study analysis, including cost effectiveness and HEOR evidence approaches.
- Understanding of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines.
- Ability to build trust and maintain integrity with KOLs, investigators, HCPs, institutions, and peers.
- Knowledge of relevant laws/regulations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to convey complex scientific concepts tailored to audience.
- Travel: ~60%.
Benefits / Compensation:
- Standard company benefits (medical, dental, vision, time off, 401k) and annual incentive plans.
- Annual salary range: $170,000–$225,000.
