Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Medical Affairs (US Remote; Southwest Territory: TX, OK, NM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary field contact to healthcare providers (HCPs), including clinical investigators, on clinical/scientific issues.
- Deliver and facilitate medical education and communications; support research and scientific insight gathering.
- Maintain deep, self-driven knowledge of immuno-oncology/disease areas and Immunocore/competitor products and therapeutic options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities with Immunocore medical strategy; ensure best patient care.
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs to expand advisory, research, and educational partnerships.
- Adhere to ethical compliance, ethics, and safety standards and local regulations.
- Act as internal educational resource; serve as external credible scientific expert at meetings/conferences/advisory boards.
- Provide balanced responses to unsolicited medical information requests; proactively provide education as permitted.
- Lead congress symposiums and other educational programs.
- Identify/map HCPs and referral patterns; disseminate field insights and resolve HCP needs.
- Support clinical operations: trial site identification; investigator communication; address barriers to enrollment.
- Lead collation/review of ESR proposals and support setup/maintenance of approved externally sponsored studies.
Experience & Knowledge / Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years MSL experience.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD).
- 3+ years oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma) required.
- Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immuno-oncology; trial design and analysis incl. HEOR/cost effectiveness.
- Understanding of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines.
- Ability to build trust with KOLs/experts, investigators, HCPs, and institutions; knowledge of relevant laws/regulations.
- Excellent presentation/communication; ability to tailor complex scientific information.
Travel: ~60%.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Standard company benefits (medical, dental, vision, time off, 401k) and annual incentive plans.
- Salary range: $170,000–$225,000.
