Medical Science Liaison, Oncology (Breast/Gyn Focus) – Mid-South (TN/GA/NC/SC)

Responsibilities
- Maintain deep, up-to-date therapeutic area expertise through continuous learning.
- Deliver customer-facing scientific exchange (primary interface between Lilly medical and SEs/CEs) to provide unbiased, accurate, current medical/scientific information.
- Apply emotional intelligence and strategic thinking to enhance customer engagement.
- Connect SEs/CEs with internal Lilly resources; facilitate collaborative research and external opportunities.
- Own territory: strategic analysis, planning, prioritization; implement/evaluate territory plan; use territory analytics for customer identification and routing.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal medical and cross-functional teams; use good judgment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Execute role compliantly and collaborate effectively across functions.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) + 2–3 years relevant clinical/therapeutic area experience desired.
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Work authorization in the US required; Lilly will not sponsor visas.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Oncology experience in Breast/Gynecology Oncology; hospital/outpatient patient experience.
- Strong scientific/medical curiosity; ability to comprehend and communicate complex content clearly.
- Experience servicing complex information needs; effective with demanding clients.
- Self-management, multi-tasking, teamwork/interpersonal skills.
- Advanced presentation/computer skills; literature identification/evaluation.
- Networking experience; field-based environment; academic community familiarity.
- Effective verbal/written communication.

Additional Information
- Live in Atlanta, Charlotte, or Nashville area (near hub airport).
- Travel overnight 50–70%; work 4–6 weekends/year.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base pay: $151,500–$268,400.
