Medical Science Liaison, Oncology (Breast/Gyn Focus) β Great Lakes
Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous learning to maintain deep technical expertise in the assigned therapeutic area.
- Provide unbiased, accurate, up-to-date medical and scientific information based on customer requests.
- Spend the majority of time on customer-facing activities; serve as a primary interface between Lilly medical and SEs/CEs to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Connect SEs/CEs with appropriate Lilly resources/internal partners; facilitate collaborative research and external opportunities.
- Demonstrate strategic analysis, planning, and prioritization; implement and evaluate a strategic territory plan and take accountability for results.
- Utilize territory analytics for customer identification and routing prioritization.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal medical and cross-functional teams; use good judgment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Cultivate internal networks, collaborate across functions, and execute role compliantly.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) required; 2β3 years relevant clinical/therapeutic area experience desired.
- Masterβs/bachelorβs in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered with 5+ years relevant clinical, research, or industry experience.
- Valid US driverβs license and acceptable driving record.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time (Lilly does not sponsor visas).
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Oncology experience in Breast/Gynecology Oncology; experience in hospital or outpatient settings strongly preferred.
- Preferred: live in Detroit, Cleveland, or Cincinnati area with access to a large hub airport.
- Travel overnight up to 50β70%; work 4β6 weekends/year.
- Intellectual curiosity; ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex scientific content.
- Experience servicing customer needs for complex information; ability to work with demanding/difficult clients.
- Strong self-management/multi-tasking; teamwork/interpersonal skills; advanced presentation and computer skills; literature evaluation.
- Professional networking experience; field-based environment experience; familiarity with academic/medical education process.
- Effective verbal and written communication; relationship building.
Benefits/Compensation (if applicable)
- Anticipated wage: $151,500β$244,200. Full-time employees may be eligible for a company bonus.
