Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison - Los Angeles/Southern California

Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (Field Medical) β Los Angeles/Southern California region (candidates considered in Los Angeles, San Bernardino/Inland Empire, and Las Vegas, NV). Reporting to the Regional Director, US Medical. Focus on rare, pulmonary/respiratory, and infectious diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain professional relationships with HCPs, physicians, academic institutions, and researchers.
- Conduct scientific exchanges; present product data; support advisory boards and scientific forums.
- Gather HCP insights; assist with clinical trial activities.
- Serve as local therapeutic area expert; collect, synthesize, and deliver HCP-derived scientific insights.
- Support R&D and Clinical Operations requests (e.g., trial site identification, recruitment motivation).
- Provide medical/scientific support to payers and managed markets to facilitate access.
- Deliver internal product and disease-state training/mentoring.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation; fully support Medical Affairs and Clinical Development plans.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or NP/PA).
- 5 years relevant field medical experience (or combination of education/training/experience).
Preferred/Additional Skills:
- Experience in rare/orphan, pulmonary/respiratory, and infectious diseases.
- Other pharma experience (Medical Information/Strategy, clinical management/trial experience) plus 2 years clinical/research (non-pharma).
- Strong English communication; presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Conflict resolution/problem-solving; strong ethics.
- Knowledge of PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, HIPAA, promotional regulations, and applicable laws.
- Understanding of US healthcare system and policy; health outcomes/pharmaco-economics/population health experience.
- Reside in designated region.
Where/Travel:
- Fully remote; frequent travel (up to 60β80%).
Pay Range:
- $187,000.00β$244,000.00 annual.
