Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison (Field Medical) — Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas (remote)
Role responsibilities:
- Conduct scientific exchanges and provide disease education on product information and current/future therapies.
- Present Insmed product data to physicians, academic institutions, researchers, and allied healthcare professionals in line with company policies.
- Support advisory boards and other scientific forums; gather and synthesize HCP/customer insights.
- Identify and develop relationships with medical experts, consultants, investigators, and HCPs to communicate emerging medical/scientific information.
- Support clinical trial activities (e.g., site identification, recruitment motivation, issue/problem solving).
- Implement Centers of Excellence/Academic Medical Center exchanges to improve appropriate prescribing and patient outcomes.
- Serve as local therapeutic-area expert; provide medical/scientific intelligence for product planning and clinical insights.
- Provide medical/scientific support to payers and managed markets to facilitate access for appropriate patients.
- Deliver product and disease-state training/mentoring internally.
- Fully support Medical Affairs and Clinical Development plans, projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of activities and annual expenses within budget parameters.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or NP/PA) plus 5 years relevant field medical experience; or equivalent education/training/experience.
Required/skills/experience:
- Experience in rare/orphan, pulmonary/respiratory, and infectious diseases.
- Pharmaceutical experience: Medical Information/Strategy and clinical management/trial experience; 2 years clinical or research experience (non-pharma) acceptable.
- Excellent English; strong presentation and interpersonal skills (listening, probing, persuasiveness, negotiation).
- Conflict resolution/problem solving; uncompromising ethics.
- Knowledge of PhRMA code of conduct, Sunshine Act, HIPAA, promotional regulations, and applicable laws.
- Understanding of US healthcare system and policy; health outcomes/pharmaco-economics/population health experience.
- Reside in the designated region.
Travel: Frequent domestic/international travel up to 60–80%.
