Medical Science Liaison (MSL) โ Gastroenterology (Kansas City or St. Louis)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide scientific/clinical knowledge by synthesizing latest research on products, disease states, and standard of care.
- Support SE/CE interactions as a primary interface between Lilly Medical and experts; share evidence, address clinical care gaps, and facilitate collaborative research.
- Connect SE/CEs with internal resources; partner with clinical development to accelerate pipeline and evidence generation.
- Execute territory strategy: analyze customer data, plan/prioritize engagements (face-to-face and virtual), use analytics for routing, and meet performance expectations.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal and cross-functional teams; exercise good judgment and escalate as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PharmD/MD/PhD or medically related field) + 2โ3 years relevant clinical experience.
- OR Masterโs/Bachelorโs in health sciences (e.g., BSN/RPh/PA/NP) + 5+ years clinical, research, or industry experience in a relevant therapeutic area.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time (Lilly does not sponsor/assist with visas).
- Valid U.S. driverโs license and acceptable driving record.
Preferences:
- Advanced presentation/computer skills; strong communication; self-directed fieldwork; emotional intelligence/networking.
- Ability to leverage field-based tools; learning agility; strategic/critical thinking.
- Applicants should live within Michigan or Ohio near a transport hub.
- Travel up to 80% and weekend commitments.
- Strongly preferred: Hematology/Oncology/GU experience; field-based environment; health systems/academic/research/education familiarity; virtual HCP engagement platforms (e.g., Zoom).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated base pay: $151,500โ$244,200; eligible for company bonus and comprehensive benefits (e.g., 401(k), medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off, well-being benefits).
