Medical Science Liaison (MSL) โ€” Dermatology (San Diego, CA)

Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous learning to maintain high technical expertise and provide unbiased, accurate, up-to-date medical/scientific information.
- Spend majority of time on customer-facing activities; serve as primary interface between Lilly Medical and SEs/CEs to deliver positive customer experience.
- Connect SEs/CEs with internal Lilly resources/partners as appropriate; facilitate collaborative research and external opportunities.
- Demonstrate strategic analysis, planning, prioritization, and territory analytics use to identify customers and route priorities; implement and evaluate a territory plan and take accountability for results.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal and cross-functional teams; use sound judgment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Execute role compliantly with all applicable internal/external requirements and laws; contribute to team goals.

Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) required; 2โ€“3 years relevant clinical/therapeutic experience desired.
- OR masterโ€™s/bachelorโ€™s in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) considered with 5+ years relevant clinical, research, or industry experience.
- Valid US driverโ€™s license and acceptable driving record.
- Full-time US work authorization required; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Additional Skills/Preferences
- Travel up to 80%; work 4โ€“6 weekends/year; live near San Diego airport.
- Dermatology curiosity; learning agility; self-directed field work; advanced presentation/computer skills and literature identification.
- Strategic/critical thinking; strong written/verbal communication; use of field-based tools; resiliency; teamwork, interpersonal skills, and high emotional intelligence.
