Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Dermatology (Pittsburgh)

Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous learning to maintain high technical expertise; provide unbiased, accurate, up-to-date medical/scientific information.
- Spend majority of time on customer-facing activities; act as a primary interface between Lilly medical and SEs/CEs using emotional intelligence and strategic thinking.
- Connect SEs/CEs with appropriate Lilly resources; facilitate collaborative research and external opportunities.
- Demonstrate strategic analysis, planning, and prioritization; implement/evaluate a strategic territory plan; take personal accountability for results.
- Use territory analytics for customer identification and routing prioritization.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal medical and cross-functional teams; use good judgment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Cultivate internal networks; collaborate across functions; work compliantly with governing internal/external requirements.

Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD) required; 2–3 years relevant clinical/therapeutic area experience desired.
- Masters/bachelor’s in health sciences considered with 5+ years clinical, research, or industry experience in relevant therapeutic area.
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Authorized to work in the US full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas/work authorization.

Additional Skills/Preferences
- Travel up to 80%; work 4–6 weekends/year; live in close proximity to Pittsburgh airport.
- Intellectual curiosity in dermatology; learning agility; self-directed; advanced presentation/computer skills; literature identification.
- Strategic/critical thinking; strong verbal/written communication; ability to use field-based electronic tools.
- Resiliency; strong teamwork/interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence and relationship-building.
