Medical Science Liaison (MSL) โ Dermatology (NY: Downtown; CT: White Plains, Stamford, Hartford)
Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous learning to maintain high technical expertise and provide unbiased, accurate, up-to-date medical/scientific information.
- Spend majority of time on customer-facing activities; serve as primary interface between Lilly medical and SEs/CEs.
- Apply emotional intelligence and strategic thinking to enhance customer engagement; connect SEs/CEs with Lilly resources/internal partners.
- Demonstrate strategic analysis, planning, prioritization, and personal accountability; implement/evaluate a territory plan.
- Maintain compliant partnerships across field roles sharing customers; use territory analytics for customer identification and routing.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal and cross-functional teams; use good judgment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Execute role compliantly with governing requirements, procedures, and laws.
Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD medically related) required; 2โ3 years relevant clinical/therapeutic experience desired.
- Masterโs or bachelorโs degree considered with 5+ years relevant clinical, research, or industry experience.
- Valid US driverโs license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must be authorized to work in the US full-time; Lilly does not provide sponsorship.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Travel up to 80%; work 4โ6 weekends/year.
- Reside within assigned territory; access to major air/rail transportation.
- Intellectual curiosity in dermatology; learning agility.
- Self-directed; manage multiple priorities in the field.
- Advanced presentation and computer skills (literature identification).
- Strong strategic/critical thinking; effective verbal/written communication.
- Proficiency with field-based electronic/communication tools.
