Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Dermatology (NY/CT)
Responsibilities:
- Maintain continuous learning to provide accurate, up-to-date, unbiased medical/scientific information.
- Spend majority of time on customer-facing activities; serve as primary interface between Lilly medical and Scientific/Clinical Experts (SEs/CEs).
- Connect SEs/CEs with appropriate Lilly resources; facilitate collaborative research and external opportunities.
- Own and execute a territory plan: analyze, prioritize, implement/evaluate MSL activities, and use territory analytics for customer identification/routing.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable customer/clinical insights to internal and cross-functional teams; use good judgment and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Demonstrate Team Lilly Behaviors; execute role compliantly with governing requirements and laws.
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD/MD/PhD or medically related) required; 2–3 years relevant clinical/therapeutic experience desired.
- Master’s/bachelor’s in health sciences may qualify with 5+ years clinical, research, or industry experience in relevant therapeutic area.
- Valid US driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
- Authorization to work in the US full-time required.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Travel up to 80% and work 4–6 weekends/year; reside in assigned territory.
- Intellectual curiosity in dermatology; learning agility; self-directed field work.
- Advanced presentation/computer skills (literature identification); strong strategic/critical thinking.
- Effective verbal/written communication; use field-based electronic tools; resilience; strong teamwork/interpersonal skills.
