Medical Affairs
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) — primary field-based point of contact with healthcare providers (HCPs), including clinical investigators, delivering medical education and communications, research, and scientific insight gathering.
Location/Territory:
- East PA, NY, NJ, DE, and MD (candidates should be located within the territory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of immuno-oncology and relevant disease areas
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Immunocore and competitor products and other therapeutic options
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support best patient care and align activities to Immunocore strategy
- Build synergistic relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships
- Maintain high ethical compliance and safety standards in line with local regulations and laws
- Act as an educational resource to internal stakeholders; provide credible external medical expertise at meetings
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a balanced/objective manner
- Proactively engage in permissible medical education; lead congress symposiums and other educational programs
- Support early access programs; deliver tailored clinical presentations
- Identify/map HCPs and referral patterns; disseminate field insights and resolve HCP needs/issues
- Support congress planning and implementation
- Support clinical operations in trial site identification; facilitate investigator engagement
- Lead collation/discussion/review of ESR proposals and setup/maintenance of approved studies
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of MSL experience
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD)
- 3 years oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma) required
- Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP in oncology/immune oncology
- Strong understanding of trial design and study analysis (including cost effectiveness/HEOR)
- Knowledge of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines
- Ability to build trust and integrity with KOLs, investigators, HCPs, institutions, and peers
- Knowledge of relevant laws/regulations to the role
- Excellent presentation/communication skills; ability to tailor complex scientific information to audiences
