Medical Affairs
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a primary field-based point of contact with healthcare providers (HCPs), including clinical investigators, delivering medical education and communications, supporting research, and gathering scientific insights.
Territory: East PA, NY, NJ, DE, and MD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of immuno-oncology, relevant disease areas, Immunocore products, competitor products, and therapeutic options.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support best patient care and align activities with Immunocore medical strategy.
- Maintain ethical compliance with local regulations and laws.
- Build synergistic relationships with KOLs to expand research, advisory, and educational partnerships.
- Act as an educational resource to internal stakeholders and serve as an external scientific expert at HCP meetings, conferences, advisory boards, and patient advocacy groups.
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information in a credible, balanced/objective manner.
- Lead congress symposiums and other educational programs; tailor presentations; support early access programs.
- Identify and map HCPs and referral networks; gather and disseminate field insights; ensure issues are resolved to support optimal patient care.
- Support clinical operations in trial site identification; facilitate communication with investigators; review ESR proposals and set up/maintain approved studies.
Experience & Knowledge / Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of MSL experience.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD).
- 3 years of oncology experience (preferably immuno-oncology and melanoma) required.
- Knowledge of clinical research design and GCP (oncology/immune oncology).
- Strong understanding of trial design and analysis, including HEOR/cost effectiveness evidence.
- Understanding of local healthcare systems and treatment guidelines.
- Ability to build trust with KOLs/experts, investigators, HCPs, institutions, and peers; knowledge of relevant laws/regulations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; ability to tailor complex scientific content.
- Travel: 60%.
