Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Provide proficient understanding of U.S. international tax law (GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F, foreign tax credit) for preparation and review of income tax provisions and tax return filings.
- Manage projects and communicate effectively with senior management, external advisors, and team members on complex technical topics.
- Develop and oversee advanced models to evaluate tax implications of restructurings/transactions and evolving global legislative/regulatory tax environment.
- Research complex tax issues and advise senior management on interpretation and application of tax laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners worldwide on international tax matters.
- Integrate business and related tax considerations into tax planning, forecasting, and advising.
- Support tax controversy defense, including researching and drafting responses to IRS requests.
- Coordinate worldwide remittances with Treasury and affiliate colleagues; plan, manage, and oversee dividend payments; provide guidance on previously taxed earnings and profits.

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CPA certification or equivalent, or CPA eligible.
- Minimum 6 years tax experience, including at least 4 years of U.S. international tax experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States full-time; Lilly will not sponsor visas/work authorization (e.g., F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, L-1).

Additional Preferences:
- Experience with tax compliance systems (e.g., OneSource).
- Proficiency with IT systems (e.g., Power BI).
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. international tax laws.
- Strong tax planning and research skills.
- Strong tax accounting knowledge (FIN 48 and deferred taxes).
- Multitask/prioritize multiple projects; strong interpersonal communication and presentation.
- Excellent organization and self-management.
- Juris Doctorate or Master of Tax.
- Knowledge of global transfer pricing and other tax laws.
- Strong leadership skills.

Additional Information:
- Travel 5% as needed; minimal travel.
- Overtime required at peak project times.
- Indianapolis-based role.
