Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of experimental cell-based assays for screening lead compounds and differentiating pre-clinical programs from competitors.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks and technical challenges to improve reproducibility.
- Collaborate with immunology and cross-functional project teams to prioritize activities and achieve deliverables.
- Analyze and interpret data with a focus on data quality and integrity.
- Summarize study findings and tailor presentations for different audiences.
- Maintain detailed electronic lab notebook records.
- Translate development activities into new SOPs; draft/revise protocols.
- Draft and review study reports for pre-IND and IND-enabling studies.
- Set priorities, allocate resources, and manage team activities to meet milestones.
- Identify and oversee external vendors/CROs (e.g., sequencing, custom conjugations, mouse models).
- Stay current with relevant published literature.
- Directly manage, develop, coach, and mentor a team of two scientists; set goals and performance manage.

Qualifications:
- PhD (6+ years) or postdoc (4+ years industry) or BS (14+ years) or MS (12+ years).
- Hands-on multi-parameter flow cytometry assay development (10+ colors).
- Proficiency culturing primary human immune cells (PBMCs).
- Flow analysis proficiency (FlowJo, DIVA, FCS Express, CellEngine, or Cytobank).
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to influence others.
- Experience managing/coaching/developing at least two scientists.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving; attention to detail; strong multitasking and organization/documentation.
- Vendor experience is a plus.
