Associate Director, Global Revenue Technical Accounting
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee revenue recognition (ASC 606) processes for customer contracts and reimbursement agreements.
- Review new agreements and complex gross-to-net transactions; ensure consistent technical accounting conclusions across products and regions.
- Own and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures; partner with international and North American revenue accounting teams.
- Prepare quarterly contract summaries and accounting conclusions; present ad-hoc gross-to-net matters to Revenue and Accounting leadership.
- Partner with Legal, Sales, and Operations to support contract drafting and ensure revenue recognition compliance.
- Partner with SEC Reporting to support revenue-related SEC disclosures; oversee annual review of 10-K revenue accounting policies.
- Lead review of revenue recognition memos, audit schedules, and responses to auditor requests.
- Support statutory audits with the International Accounting Team.
- Build cross-functional partnerships and provide training/mentorship to the revenue accounting team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences revenue accounting or technical accounting.
- Public accounting experience (preferably Big 4).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606.
Skills:
- Ability to analyze and present complex accounting issues to senior management.
- Strong written/verbal communication (memo drafting/presentations).
- Strong organizational/collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated): $144,000β$216,000 base range; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards; additional benefits include medical/dental/vision, paid time off (company shutdown), educational assistance/student loan repayment, commuting subsidy, matching charitable donations, and 401(k).
