Position Summary
Associate Director, Global Medical Mavacamten—drives execution of the Global Medical plan for mavacamten across its lifecycle in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), with primary focus on enabling US medical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Global Medical plan execution; translate priorities into deliverables, timelines, and cross-functional ways of working.
- Partner with Medical Market Leads to enable US execution via global toolkits, scientific resources, and implementation support.
- Coordinate cross-functional day-to-day alignment (Medical Communications, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Safety, Market Access) to ensure on-time, compliant medical deliverables.
- Serve as HCM medical subject matter expert; monitor external landscape and update global materials to support US needs.
- Own assigned medical workstreams; ensure materials are medically accurate, consistent, and usable for Global/US.
- Provide scientific guidance and clinical context; escalate risks/issues as appropriate.
- Support publication/content and congress activities (abstracts, manuscripts, congress materials, scientific resources).
- Support Thought Leader Engagement Strategy and medical training (global training assets and consistent messaging).
- Ensure Worldwide/US medical activities comply with policies, laws/regulations, and medical governance standards.
Qualifications & Experience (Required/Preferred)
- Advanced scientific degree (MD/PhD/PharmD/PA/NP).
- 5+ years Medical Affairs experience with increasing responsibility.
- Global medical role experience supporting US execution (preferred).
- Cardiovascular expertise required; HCM/rare disease (preferred).
- Cross-functional partnership in matrixed organizations; manage external agencies.
- Plan/implement medical congresses and advisory boards; drug development phase familiarity (desirable).
