The FRM Associate Director leads and develops a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers who educate healthcare providers on AbbVie’s Immunology Patient Support Programs, emphasizing patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio, ensuring effective operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and support the FRM team to deliver compliant access and reimbursement services.
- Conduct field ride-alongs to assess performance, ensure use of AbbVie-approved tools, and provide targeted coaching.
- Collaborate with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and the Access & Reimbursement Hub to maintain consistent, compliant program execution.
- Integrate patient access programs into local/regional strategies; identify and address training opportunities.
- Monitor healthcare policy changes and communicate relevant insights.
- Track call activity and operational capacity using analytics tools.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with AbbVie standards.
- Drive professional development for direct reports.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in coverage/coding/managed healthcare and/or market access for immunology products (including payer account management; expertise impacting patient access and reimbursement).
- 2+ years leadership experience (3+ preferred) with proven team/talent development.
- Advanced coaching; territory and strategic account management; process mastery and understanding of market dynamics.
- Ability to coach/train and communicate complex reimbursement policies.
- Deep understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement; specialty drug acquisition and distribution.
- Proven ability to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
- Excellent oral/written/presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Travel up to 75%.
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening; meet safe driving requirements.
- Drive personal auto or company car/truck; or powered material handling equipment.
