This role is field-based; candidates should live within the territory (North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, western half of Tennessee, and surrounding areas).
The FRM Associate Director leads and develops a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers who educate healthcare providers on AbbVie’s Immunology Patient Support Programs, emphasizing patient access and reimbursement inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach, and support the FRM team to deliver compliant, effective access and reimbursement services.
- Conduct field ride-alongs to assess performance, ensure use of AbbVie-approved tools, and provide targeted coaching.
- Collaborate with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and the Access & Reimbursement Hub to maintain consistent, compliant program execution.
- Integrate patient access programs into local/regional strategies; identify and address training opportunities.
- Monitor healthcare policy changes and communicate relevant insights.
- Track call activity and operational capacity using analytics tools.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance.
- Drive professional development for direct reports.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in coverage/coding/managed healthcare and/or market access for immunology biologics (payer account management preferred).
- 2 years leadership role (3+ preferred) with proven team development success.
- Coaching/training expertise; territory and strategic account management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex reimbursement policies.
- Expertise in drug acquisition/dispensing (medical benefit, buy-and-bill, reimbursement analysis; specialty pharmacies/distributors).
- Deep understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement and specialty drug distribution.
- Proven ability to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Travel up to 75%; valid driver’s license.
