This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers to ensure effective field execution and consistent delivery of buy-and-bill product reimbursement and access support.
- Provide regular field coaching and performance feedback.
- Ensure FRMs deliver accurate, compliant support regarding coverage, coding, billing, payment, product acquisition, and affordability.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support access strategy, field execution, and customer education initiatives.
- Monitor team activity, capacity, and performance using analytics, reporting tools, and business reviews.
- Identify skill gaps and implement development plans, training support, and coaching interventions.
- Maintain direct engagement with key accounts/customers when appropriate to resolve complex access or reimbursement issues.
- Communicate field insights, trends, and barriers to internal partners.
- Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing development for direct reports.
- Ensure field activities align with AbbVie policies and applicable compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access in neuroscience (Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, Field Reimbursement Manager or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience leading field teams.
- Experience in eye care/specialty products/physician-administered therapies/buy-and-bill or specialty pharmacy preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement processes, payer policy, and access dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage complex customer situations with strong compliance awareness.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across internal functions.
- Ability to travel extensively within assigned geography.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
- Satisfy applicable Health Care Industry Representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements for assigned territory (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
