Role Summary

Associate Director, Field Effectiveness (Rare Disease) – Hybrid role onsite in Deerfield 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Liaison for all Field Excellence capabilities, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of field effectiveness initiatives
  • Be the strategic advisor to sales leadership (NSDs and Regional Directors) ensuring connectivity of sales force strategy & execution across cross field excellence initiatives and broader CD&A
  • Lead/co-lead special initiatives and projects (e.g. Sales Force size & structure, launch readiness, Pilot test and learns, etc.)
  • Assist the Director in the development and execution of field effectiveness strategy and programs across the portfolio, with specific focus on your business unit
  • Implement tactical plans that enhance field force productivity and efficiency
  • Work with US Analytics, Reporting and other stakeholders to develop robust sales force metrics and dashboards; assess field performance metrics and industry trends to identify improvements
  • Recommend solutions that align with the business unit’s objectives
  • Coordinate execution and pull-through of field force projects – customer targeting, field reporting, field alerts/suggestions, omnichannel/digital, field transformation, etc.
  • Lead and develop a diverse team of managers and senior managers; establish performance metrics and development paths
  • Collaborate with CD&A and cross-functional teams to ensure integrated execution of field strategies; prioritize analytics needs
  • Monitor industry trends to stay ahead and evolve capabilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Doctorate + 3 years in sales analytics/field effectiveness or life sciences management consulting or field sales in pharma/biotech; or Master’s + 5 years; or Bachelor’s + 7 years; or Associate’s + 12 years; or High school + 14 years
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strategic thinking, analytical/problem-solving, project management, collaboration, communication, and team leadership
